Our January Speakers were Jim & Melana Davison. Melana is the current President of the Orchid Society of Coral Gables and past President of the South Dade Amateur Orchid Club. Jim is the past President of the Orchid Society of Coral Gables and the East Everglades Orchid Society. They spoke on their interest in the Catasetum genus which stems from their personal relationship with Fred Clarke. Although Catasetums are growing in popularity, there are few resources available to Florida growers. Jim-N-I Orchids are a Catasetum enthusiast and we raise them in Florida for Florida collectors!
Our February 2020 speaker was Omar Gonzalez. Many of you know Omar from the many orchid shows he attends as well as his selling orchids including miniatures!
Hi everyone. Since our March & April Society meeting has been cancelled, we thought it would be fun to put a slide show together to share with others of our members blooming orchids. Its a nice way to bring some enjoyment to the quarantine time & getting back to the wonderful world of orchids. Enjoy! Be well & stay safe.

CSOS Member Orchid Slide Show April 2020
Hi everyone. Since our last slide show, I have had many requests to do another so here it is! Its fun to share with others our blooming orchids since we cant' be together right now. It not only brings enjoyment to our quarantine time but keeps us in touch with each other while we enjoy the wonderful world of orchids. Be well and stay safe. We are still following the guidelines of the CDC, Governor and the city so we will keep you posted as we know more.
